Na een barre tocht door verschrikkelijke hoosbuien arriveerden twee totaal verzopen motorrijders aan bij hotel Zur Fredeburg. We werden hartelijk verwelkomt door de gastheer Ernst. Hij begeleide ons naar de schitterende en ruime hotelkamer met prima bedden en riant balkon. 's Avonds maakten we kennis met de vriendelijke gastvrouw Margareth die ons voorstelde om de drijfnatte motorpakken in de cv-kelder te hangen. Daar loeide immers de ketel om de hotelgasten van badwater te voorzien. Ik en m,n zoon vonden dat natuurlijk geweldig, en dat deed ons de avondmaal die door Ernst bereid was nog beter smaken. Na de heerlijke maaltijd is er gelegenheid om een glaasje te drinken aan de bar, waar zelfs een sigaretje gerookt mag worden, mits de andere gasten daarmee eens zijn. De glazen werden gevuld door Margareth die lekker mee babbeld met de andere gasten wat het heel gezellig maakte.
